We are moving forward with the aka-aki game. For a new round of beta testing we are now looking for testers again. If you have

• an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4
• iOS4 installed on it and
• a Facebook account,

you could be one of the first people in the world who can have a look and test the game on your own device. This is how it works:

Send us an email with the UDID number of your iPhone to beta@aka-aki.com. We will send you a download link and further instructions back. First come, first serve! The number of testers in this round is limited again. But 10 places on the list are exclusively reserved for you, the readers of our blog. If you heard the news here, just type “Blog” in the subject field of your e-mail (like described above). We are looking forward to this testing round!

There are so many conferences and events for the mobile industry. But what will happen next week near Berlin is really special and worth telling about…

The MLOVE Confestival will take place from June 23rd to June 25th in a castle (!) near Berlin. The actual location will only be revealed to registered participants.

The concept is very unique: “The event exposes the mobile industry to the best minds outside of mobile to maximize the opportunity of creating life-changing services and applications that can impact us all for the better”, the organisers say. Executives, entrepreneurs and developers will mix with architects, scientists, musicians and social entrepreneurs.

The programme focus is on interactivity, including two Open Space sessions and other interactive formats.

Last night our users were invited for the first hands-on expierence with the new aka-aki game. First great surprise of the night: the venue was air-conditioned! Everybody loved that after a sweaty day in hot and humid Berlin…

Result of the test game night: our users loved the look and the idea of the game! Everybody imediately got into it and we had a shortage of test devices because nobody wanted to give up his and stop playing.

We also learned that we have some jobs to do concerning the interface. It doesn’t “talk enough”. People are sometimes lost and don’t know what to do and where to click. But what we’ve learned last night will help us a lot with creating a tutorial and do changes in the interface elements.

aka-aki games will be aka-aki’s first social mobile location-based game on your iPhone. We think we’ve created something new and very beautiful. But before aka-aki games will be launched officially, we ask for your opinion. How do you like graphics and characters? Is the music annoying? Are the games too easy are too hard? We’re interested in everything!

That’s why we’ll play aka-aki games with and against you – in a cosy atmosphere in Berlin.

• We’ll have devices for you. Your own iPhone/iPod touch is not needed
• We will not install aka-aki games on your own devices
• You will need your own Facebook account

The aka-aki game is almost finished. To create the best gaming experience before we launch it, it needs to be tested. And this could be your new job! We are looking for a game tester to work with us at our Berlin office.

As of today aka-aki 1.4.4 for iPhone is on the AppStore. In order to keep aka-aki free, we added a short ad while the app starts. Please let us know if this is acceptable for you.

The first AR Business Conference is happening today in Berlin. It’s not only about the technical evolution. It also focuses on the implications for business, brands and markets.

You can see and hear aka-aki live at the conference today. From 2 pm CET our CEO Gabriel Yoran is discussing at a panel called “Augmented Social Networking”. Everybody who cannot make it to be there, have a look HERE. The conference is being streamed over the internet.

Since the launch of aka-aki, Vienna has always been one of the most lively aka-aki neighbourhoods. Now, our Austrian mooses are organising their first aka-aki user convention in Vienna!

The date is April 30th, already. There is no confirmed venue yet. But you can get all the information by just sending an aki mail message to user “salzprinzessin“. She is taking care of the organisation and is happy if you announce your participation in advance.
