The aka-aki game is almost finished. To create the best gaming experience before we launch it, it needs to be tested. And this could be your new job! We are looking for a game tester to work with us at our Berlin office.

As of today aka-aki 1.4.4 for iPhone is on the AppStore. In order to keep aka-aki free, we added a short ad while the app starts. Please let us know if this is acceptable for you.

More changes:

• bugfix for password not being remembered right after signup
• bugfix for always displaying the same comments on different profiles

The first AR Business Conference is happening today in Berlin. It’s not only about the technical evolution. It also focuses on the implications for business, brands and markets.

You can see and hear aka-aki live at the conference today. From 2 pm CET our CEO Gabriel Yoran is discussing at a panel called “Augmented Social Networking”. Everybody who cannot make it to be there, have a look HERE. The conference is being streamed over the internet.

Since the launch of aka-aki, Vienna has always been one of the most lively aka-aki neighbourhoods. Now, our Austrian mooses are organising their first aka-aki user convention in Vienna!

The date is April 30th, already. There is no confirmed venue yet. But you can get all the information by just sending an aki mail message to user “salzprinzessin“. She is taking care of the organisation and is happy if you announce your participation in advance.

Or just take the “Wiener_Aki_Treff” sticker and stick it to your profile.

After the re-launch last week we had the chance to test the new blog design “live on-air”. We decided to make some changes. The Courier font was not very convenient to read. It was replaced by a better readable Arial font. Thanks to the variable character spacing, this has another advantage: most headlines now fit in one line and the whole article looks more compact.

Besides that, we decided to say Goodbye to the “Pages” section on the right. Links to FAQs, Advertising, Imprint, Jobs, Press Portal and Goodies can now be found in the Footer of each blog page.

We hope you like it and still your ideas for improvements are more than welcome!

Et voilà! Here it is. The new aka-aki Blog. Okay, it’s not that all new. The posts, comments and other content from the last three years is still there. But our Wordpress-baby just got some new stylish clothes.

We hope you like it! There are still some changes needed until everything fits perfectly. So come in and have a look. We are looking forward to your comments where we can make it look even better.

Before the shouting starts again, like it does after everything we are doing at the moment: the re-design of the blog has been done completely by the marketing team. Here we do not know how to develop software. So no development resources have been wasted for the new blog look.
