That leaves us speechless. Almost. But something happened, that has to be said: we have officially been nominated for the 13th Annual Webby Awards! As Best Mobile Social Network. Wow!

For those who don’t know them yet, the Webby Awards are a really big thing in the Internet world. They can be considered the Oscars of our industry. The jury consists, just like for the Oscars, of an Academy. Among the members you’ll find David Bowie, Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, Virgin Group Chairman Richard Branson! And YOU!

Right, you! Because there’s also the Webby People’s Voice Award. And for that you are the judges. Please vote for us here: http://pv.webbyawards.com Unfortunately it’s necessary to register before casting a vote. But that’s because otherwise you could cheat using a robot software. After registering you’ll find aka-aki easily on the top of the Webby’s website in the pull down menu “Select a nominee” just like shown here on the screenshot below.

You can vote from now on until April 30th. If we win we’ll bring you something nice from New York City. Because that’s where the glamorous ceremony will take place June 8th 2009. We thank you for your support and send greetings from Berlin!
