New version of the aka-aki Java software available
Not our mobile software, but also brand-new: the hairstyle of our Head of web development Lukas
We have to admit that the launch of aka-aki for iPhone kept us quiet busy over the last months. But now there is finally good news for those who use aka-aki on “normal” mobile phones. We have worked over our Java software. The new version 0.9.3 brings many improvements and is now available:
- help and support can now be found in the main menu
- news about the aki of the week competition have been moved to the main menu, too
- also new in the main menu: the section “my profile”: there you can edit and show your own profile on your mobile phone
- below your list of friends aka-aki now recommends you other “interesting people” you should know
And of course our developers fixed a lot of problems and stopped discomfort in use. Bravo! To get the new version is easy and free: just start your aka-aki mobile software and choose “update” to download version 0.9.3.
And to all the iPhone fans out there: prepare yourself for your update which is almost ready and to be released next.

@Joerg: Sorry, aber wir haben Windows Mobile noch nie unterstützt. Facebook und MySpace sind um einiges größer als wir, daher müssen wir uns auf die Plattformen konzentrieren, die den meisten Nutzern was bringen. Ein Trostpflaster könnte die API sein, an der wir arbeiten. Damit können dann Entwickler auch eine WiMo-Version bauen.

Ja, ist schade, dass Windows Mobile nicht mehr unterstützt wird.
Zum Glück gibt es andere Anbieter, die Windows Mobile nicht den Rücken kehren, so gibt es für Facebook und MySpace neue Applikationen für WM.
Eure Java-Version läuft bei WM leider nicht richtig, daher muss ich mich zwangsläufig von Euch verabschieden. War schön mit Euch.

Hallo Ralf, das es offiziell keine Blackberry Version gab ist mir klar.
Die vorherige Generic Version lief aber auf meinem BB.
Begenungen funktionierte natürlich nicht, aber immerhin konnte ich sonst alles benutzen.
Wann ist denn mit einer Version für das Blackberry zu rechnen?

zunächst mal zu blackberrys und windows mobile geräten: beides wird derzeit noch nicht unterstützt. eine version für blackberrys ist in arbeit, für windows mobile ist derzeit leider nichts geplant.

Schade ist nur, dass es anscheinend keine Version für Windows Mobile gibt. Ist sowas bereits in Arbeit?

Vorher konnte ich wenigstens Nachrichten schreiben etc. (dass ich keine leute in meiner Umgebung geseheb hab is ja leider technisch bedingt).
Jetzt startet das Programm gar nicht mehr.

Nice. But… when I ask to download the helper application, it gives me a “not found” error…
And why do I always get events when I log in? If I have already seen them last time, I don’t want them displayed again…

Toll das es ein upgate gibt, nur leider nicht für mich, denn mir scheint über diesen ganzen Iphone hype habt Ihr einen clienten für Windows Mobile total vergessen. Oder bin ich der einzige der hier der schon ewig darauf wartet?
